F25 Folding tilting cage for trapping small birds

Thanks to the weight and dimensions of this cage after folding it is often and advantageously used as a "shipping" cage.

This tilting cage is suitable for trapping the birds which can be hardly caught in mist nets (e.g. wheatear, stone-chat, whinchat, redstart, black-redstart, shrikes, but also other insectivorous birds up to the size of blackbird). Moreover, these cages can be successfully used near nests and in all localities where it is impossible to prepare the vegetation for the application of the net fence.

Setting of the trap
The tilting cage can be set only in places where you observe the birds you want to catch how they collect their foods. It is practical to rake up the surface soil and to mask the bottom part of the cage in the place you want to set it.

Live meal worm (larva of Tenebrio molitor) is used as a bait.
